Try it with your own lunch
Photograph any plate of food, or upload a picture you already have. The same vision model and the same versioned rulebook that run the demo will tell you which components are on the plate and whether the federal child care food programme would pay for it.
Nothing is stored. The photograph is read, the answer is returned, and the file is deleted.
A meal pattern is defined per age group, so the verdict depends on who is at the table. Lunch for a three year old needs milk, a fruit, a vegetable, a grain and a meat or meat alternate.
Or call it from your own code
curl -X POST https://dtvxrkiam6.us-east-1.awsapprunner.com/api/meals \ -H "x-api-key: tally-sandbox-2026" \ -F "photo=@lunch.jpg" -F "meal_type=lunch" -F "age_groups=1-2,3-5"
Same endpoint, same answer. The rules it used are published at /api/rules, so you can check them against the USDA tables rather than taking the agent's word for it.
